My Story of a Brain Injury

Welcome to a story which most of you will find hard to come to grips with. It’s a story of injuries, trust and motivation, setbacks, courage and a determination and a stubborn mind. Learn what it’s like to wake up in a strange bed in a hospital to a view of 5 men in various stages of a change in life from paraplegia to been quadriplegic.

This is the story of the person with no recollection of the past, brain damage, and spinal damage and how to deal with it in the coming years.

It might read like a poor me or how great this person is no in fact it’s my recollection of how life has changed and what occurred since.
With some personal thoughts on how you may like to look at life in a different way. Some parts of this book might sound repetitive and was done like this for a purpose. To make you think about that saying “It won’t happen to me” one of the worst phrases to come out of the English Dictionary. Similar to the “I can’t” “Not smart enough”

“No, I couldn’t do that” etc. It’s a story of giving it a go, not giving up, yes I can, if not smart enough discover away to and if it couldn’t be done, watch as I move forward and discover how to.

If you ever get told you can’t, it's not for you, you have no hope, this book is for you. If you are the one telling people the above statements, this book is for you

“Impossible is only proved by taking the steps to find out how it is possible” If you have a disability and can’t read this as it may give you the hope to rethink, redo and restart your life” Life is not about living, it’s about how you live, and how you leave a statement and what you want people to remember you as If listening to the specialist, the doctors etc. and took it on face value there would be no future,

At times the book may come across negative, that’s hard not to write like that. What the important thing is there are so many lessons, stories of success, setbacks, move forwards and a story of never give up what ever you want to do.

Even if it is just small steps take the time to move forward, prepare for tomorrow, today is what counts. You history today is remembered tomorrow.
How do you want to be remembered?

Enjoy this book; it hopefully gives you the inspiration to move forward in your own life.

Remember some of the greatest feats are made after someone is injured. If they can what stops you? Good health? Think about it. It’s not that hard to start now.

Watch out for up coming stories on my life and living with a brain injury
